In the previous post I told of the birth of my love for fashion and passion for education. Today I return to the question related to "ambition" because it is common destiny and it is legitimate to have to reach.
Unlike in my day, in which thought evolved consistently compared to the real possibilities of each human being, we are now witnessing an epochal change that much to do with the hyper speed at which we are trying to get used to. I say this because not only are many of us pretend to adapt without problems, but also because of this big push towards a future behind the corner "or that everyone turns out to be the primary cause of the discomfort of many young people.
The great deception, perpetrated not without the help of big sister's TV, there's life under the illusion that we can always be players and instead relegates us to the same position perennial spectators. The new generations have, indeed, a great enemy in front of him: the future of others, but especially those who have made it. I refer specifically to all those young men that come out of competitions and TV shows: always very nice guys, all strangely talented and, inevitably, so full of themselves to draw a world where everything is free of complications obtained immediately and without the slightest effort. Just a little 'luck.
And besides fatigue because if things are so simple? Great good question, right?
There is only one valid reason why it should: because our life is not that of others. Our life is ours alone. Does it sound trivial to give an answer like that, but I assure you, you have to stop and think about it. We must reflect on the fact, to begin with that, no matter how nice and comfortable to the success of another person, the success belongs only to the latter. Do not confuse the roles of many people, identifying themselves in their heroes or reference in their characters make the mistake of forgetting to be mere spectators of the whole.
Many boys appear, in fact, greatly captivated by the stories 'winners' of their peers as if they share a common destiny, as if the luck could have happened to the other, in a certain sense, also be theirs. As if written somewhere that the chances of success were there on hand of all. True, there is no point denying the possibility, the problem is figuring out how many we have. The point is that nobody knows. None of us will know how much luck in life.
course, as anyone who plays the super enalotto, you can be there still playing every week hoping that a combination, sooner or later, with good luck kiss. On the other hand, it is also true that, capitalizing or setting aside the same amounts for the game, the safety of an economic return is mathematically assured.
Forgive the hyperbole, but I think the only way to understand the value of training, education and the time required to build professional skills.
is known, in fact, that if art was only the prerogative of the genes (Kant docet) the world today would be known only Michelangelo, Leonardo, Mozart, Shakespeare and a few others. Instead, thankfully, everyone today can aspire to carve out their own space, but need great determination and commitment ... because what was natural for Mozart it was not for all those who have decided to dedicate his life to music.
point, you see, is that you can decide to be good listeners / viewers or choose to try to be leaders. Do not be fooled by the ease with which some fail because it is not said that it is talent and that talent alone is enough.
The cleverness, the conquest of his personal and professional success is, in all cases, the result of hard work, study and sacrifice. These are the only true things that can really bring us closer to our ambitions.
Perhaps I appear preachy at times paternalistic, but I believe in my teaching role. If something can be transmitted if an error can be prevented from teaching duty is at least mentioned. You can not just say "everyone makes their own choices, and that is what it is." Even this is too easy.
The problem is that these new cultural models have the better of the young people are transported to a dimension of unreality of nothingness and vanishing. The cultural models, it is true, but times change and growth of human aging are almost the same.
conclude this post urging you to believe in yourself, but with an air of rational and with a great desire to learn and be guided. The confidence in young people must also trust their experience and history of the generations that preceded them.
Why the dream came true, said my father, it must first be transformed into a project.
Happy Easter to everyone.
Ps: Thank you very Teresa Ghioldi for inspiring me to write this post and for sharing the same concerns about the future of young people.
